Leather Holster for DH-17 Question

Hey Guys
First proper post, I am looking at getting a Holster made for my ROTS guard to hold the DH-17 Blaster.
Should it be leather and does it need to be red? Also what does this holster look like??
If anyone has a picture for reference I would be very appreciative

The holster could either be Black or red. The only solid colors that would need to be represented is if you were doing a crimson empire armor with the holster - Kanos has red and Jax has black. Also due to the weight of the holster with blaster you would need to run a heavy belt under the obi to hold the holster. As fabric will not hold the weight correctly.

More as it would be a standard belt that you would wear under the obi to help give it stability. You would not actually see it as it would be hidden but Helps keep the actual obi sash from sagging,
