There are different ways to to get air into the helmet.
Active cooling devices and just leaving a gap between Visor and helmet are just two of the ones most used.

A lot of guards I know have a fan under their robes and a tube that runs up their back from it to the helmet.

Several fans if you can fit them in your helmet.

I have a fan in my helmet.
Works fine.
Switching on and off is a challenge but I make it work.

I used to have a high powered compact squirrel cage fan that was velcroed under my visor. Battery pack was below that and a push button switch was operated on the inside front point of the helmet. 1 9V ran for 2 hours. Worked great until the fan stopped working. Can't find the same fan anywhere. Wish I had pictures.
I just bought a new fan. Haven't installed it yet, but I'll report on it later.

Hey Dude,
On my bucket I left a gap between the visor and Helmet it really helps with ventilation.
Anything else I don't know but you can be sure that the gap helps

Left a slight space on the bottom of the visor so breathe goes there and out better, but also getting and putting in a pair of o2 personal hand held fans which tubing will be taped to and run up the back and into the bucket for a/c. Just waiting for them to arrive.

I've had a chance to troop with the Mighty Mike fan above. Don't like it.NoslenLRAc wrote: I just bought a new fan. Haven't installed it yet, but I'll report on it later.

It is loud, but I can still hear people. Nice, pre assembled design, but it doesn't move the air like I need it to. My old squirrel cage fan was much more powerful and quiet. This fan might work if I had 2 of them. It basically keeps the middle of my visor clear, but the tubing must be right on your visor. I'm looking into portable fans that others have recommended and pumping the air up through larger tubes.
