Very cool...the Rubies has a similar visor issue (as does the Don Post). Just trim out the excess, put a darker visor, and from what I'm seeing it looks good.

Though I am a newbie, I have to say that it is looking very impressive to me! From what I am seeing of yours I hope that mine turns out as well... or as many let their minds mumber... better! lol I would be happy for as good trust me! As much as I find it all exciting it also very nerve racking too! lol

Happy New Year Everyone,

So, I am cracking down on this build and going to get this build finished !

For the undercloak I am using a McCalls Pattern 4002. As you can see in the pic, it has a slit in the front - which I will modify the pattern as no slit is allowed. This is quite a very easy pattern to sew and modify.

The other reason why I like this pattern, it allows to have a slit on each side of the leg (knee down) if you wish AND it has the pattern for the pants if you were to go down that avenue.

So I have cut out he pattern and mounted to card, this way I can reuse the pattern more than once and help other guards in Melbourne :tr2:
This weekend I am gong to make a "mock up" out of cheesecloth fabric to try on for size etc. Again, this then can be used to help other new guards with fitting.

After scouring all over Melbourne, I have found the fabric that I am happy with for the inner rober. It is a light suit fabric, and I really like the colour and feel of the fabric.

Boots ! I might have been lucky and be able to use a set of boots that I already had in storage (I have only worn them once). These have quite a low heel on them. Any feedback on these boots would be great :P

I'm going to be drawing up a pattern for the sash tonight, can anyone tell how wide the small middle band is on the sash ?
