Need Bucket recomandations....!!!

Post by VintageGmr »

Hi all...

Anyone in here know of good manufacturers of RG Helmets ? I am looking to get approved and am afraid of getting burned on ebay.

Anyone know of someone who can make good helmets and that they know is trustworthy ???

I'd be interested in this too, especially good helmets for US-based guards that are too short for the FP bucket and too wide in the head for the DP. I can tell you that I've heard the Rubies helmet only needs to be repainted and the visor changed/darkened, but Rubies is out of stock and isn't sure when they are getting more in (so all the stores selling them are also out of stock).

Hi.

It depends on your location.
Please read and search in the forum. You can find plenty of usefull information here.
In this thread http://www.forcepike.net/forum/viewtopi ... =34&t=1257
you can find at least 2 vendors of helmets with the measurements of their helmets.
Another vendor is found in germany. Its helmet is about the size of the SB (UK) helmet.
You can find a thread of selling his helmets here http://www.forcepike.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1913

There are a couple of vendors here in Oz that do great work. If you are in the US you will get a great exchange rate, but postage will make up for it. One is in this forum and the other is TPE. PM me if you want more info.

ps: the Rubies will get you approved, but they have a nasty habit of warping in the sun.

I live in Florida and it can get pretty toasty, and muggy, down here during the summer. My understanding is the Rubies bucket doesn't do well in that type of heat. Anyone have any suggestions on a bucket that will work. If it matters I'm 5'5"

Lukannon is just slightly smaller than a FP helmet but still large enough for someone with a massive head like myself. He also doesn't try and take people's money and then make them wait for months to get the stuff done which is what I like.
