Inner robe/lining of outer

Hi,

I wonder what fabric everyone has been using for their inner linings.

My ideal selection criteria are as follows:
  • The right colour (burgundy) is most important
A medium level of stiffness (it should allow the inner and outer robes to flow in a natural way, yet have enough structure/not be too thin)
Be soft and pleasant to wear
Be as cool to wear as possible, and prevent sweat from reaching through to the velvet

Based on this, I've decided to go for a linen fabric. A good linen can be cool to wear, and can become softer with age, and has a fine structure.

However, I am having trouble finding a good linen of the right colour, other than one which is 200 swedish kronor per meTER ($23 per meter) which is more than I wanted to spend.

The following linen is much cheaper, and the right colour, but I worry that it is too coarsely woven. I've included my robe velvet for comparison. Opinions and suggestions are welcome!

I think it is too thin.
My inner robe is linen too but it was around 18€/m.
When you make your underobe out of the linen we see in the pictures i fear your sweat
will be very fast through to your outer robes.

I was worried about that, thanks for the second opinion :)

Can you PM me where you bought yours?
