How do these red boots look? Are they acceptable?

Re: ROTS Boots
The seam down the center rules them out I'm afraid.

Re: ROTS Boots
Without seeing them in hand, I cannot make an educated and informed decision on if they would be approvable or not. A web image is one thing, seeing them when being used by the costumer is totally different.
Re: ROTS Boots
I know at least one RG that uses these exact boots and is approved. He has multiple pairs also.
These are the boots I am about to order for my build.

And I also have a pair of boots that I didn't wear in my approval photo. I mainly use this pair outside where it's a little more dirty so my nicer one's don't get ruined.
At the end of the day Stripes is providing the best information he can based on what's being posted. My point using the above story is that, had this other guard never posted up here asking if the boot was ok (after being approved for example), then he/she wouldn't have been given feedback on how acceptable they are (or not), and could just be wearing them.
Each GML really decides what is acceptable or not, and there is history of the guard costumes being considered easy entry level, sometimes with little detail needed. This is wrong and a perception that has been changing over the last few years. As more people actually come to these boards rather than make assumptions, the proper advice is getting out there as well.
I don't think Stripes' advice on these boots is a flat out no, rather it's hard to see in the product photo. It may work out to purchase the boots and get photos of them with the costume for better advice. I purchased a couple of pairs of boots before getting some that went well.
