Was shopping for shins for my my SG build. Somebody pointed out to me that they're actually closer to a Deathwatch grunt's shin armor than Jango Fett's.
The Jango shin has the "strip" while the DW one is closer to the one picture below. Also found one DW supplier who has some up for sale
here
What do you guys suggest? Jango or DW shins?

Technically the Shadowguard is older than DeathWatch.

As per the CRL, the shins are Jango Fett style shins.
I have not seen any visuals that would be cause to change this to this point.

Here are the different shins. Is the leftmost photo considered an official reference material for the SG? Can you point me to the known reference materials that the current CRL for this costume was based on?

Yes they are but wasn't really interested in who copied who, just which one is more canon

Take ABS PLASTIC, Fold at the two points with the right shape and add two straps to the back.

All three images are canon for their respective costumes. The CRL says Jango
STYLE shins as they have a hard edge on both sides. If you look at the deathwatch shins they are a continuous curve with no hard edge. To match to the game reference shots, the shins must have the hard edge.

Actually the DW shin in the pic has the "hardest" edge among the three IMO. This is why I was asking because the Jango shins in the Jango CRL have more a "strip" than an edge, while the SG shins in the SG CRL look like the one with the "continuous curve".

If you look at the overall shape of the shin, the Shadowguard shin matches the overall shape of the Jango shin, without the additional hard lip on the front. This is why the language of the CRL states that it is a
Jango Style Shin. A Deathwatch shin is not correct in this instance and will not be approvable.

I see. So it's really a combination of the "shape" and the "edge" for the SG. Last question, would
virateck's shins be approvable?

Without seeing the final costume product I cannot say wether a piece would be approvable with certainty.
