I have ordered my robes, now on to the pike. What is everyone's recommendation, make your own, buy from a board member, buy from FP, etc?

It sounds like you are fully aware of the options out there, so it really depends on your specific preference and situation (e.g. plenty of cash, not in a rush, love building things yourself, etc.) I would love to purchase and own an already made force pike. They look awesome, but I personally enjoy building my own props/costumes and have too many other things that I could use the money for.

I'm a big fan of just building your own because it's from easy to find items with it's way cheaper.
