Post by Balcony Brawler »

Hey everybody,

I'm pretty close to having everything I need to submit approval pics but I wanted to hear what you all think about my robes.

If you could get some pictures outside the natural light will help get a better look

From what I can see with these photos, the inner robe belt is not going to pass inspection. It needs to be wider, and the middle piece should be made of the same fabric as the rest of the belt and inner robe, not a shiny ribbon.

Also, the arm slits need to be up by your armpits, not at you elbows.

Clearer pictures with natural lighting would definitely help with identifying any other possible problems.

Thank for the critics everybody, I'll post some cleaner pics this evening.

For the belt, how wide should it be? The crl says 3-4 inches and mines a little less than 3".

For your body build, I would recommend that the belt be 4-5" in width.

The CRL is a base guideline and as with all costumes should be taken to read as follows:

The belt should be on an average build, 3-4", but can be adjusted for proper fit to the individual costumer.

Gotcha, so it should really look more like a wrap than a belt.
I think i got it.

Here are some cleaner pics of the inner robe and new sash. I remade the sash with a width of 5 inches.
I'll have some pics of the outer robes very soon, they're being hemmed as I type.

More Pics!

Outer Robes:
We raised the seam on the right arm in the front and are waiting to see what you all think about it before we do the left.

The seams still need work. They should be at your armpits for both the front and back. From what I can see, the seams are sitting 1-2" above your elbow in the front and below the elbow in the rear. Keep at it, as the inner robes are looking much better
