Starting to get my costume together, anyone have any thoughts on this? Suggestions on where (esp with links) to get the helmet (and probably force pike) would be really awesome too, thanks! :trsuit:

Helmet will greatly depend on the size of your head. There are several available resources for helmets. I am not familiar with this particular one, though if it is a heavier resin, you may want to look at something like the rubies our other, lighter alternatives as the weight of the helmet sits fully on your shoulders.

yah I saw the rubies ones. Wasn't sure if they were authentic enough (if that's the right way of looking at it). Also would prefer to spend less than 300 bucks on one if I can :P

The Rubies is a good bucket, just need to replace the visor and possibly paint it depending on your fabric colour.

As for price... This is definitely not a cheap hobby.... I've seen parts of kits costing over $1,000... Just to put some things in perspective.

Hehe, yes. Im aware it isn't. Ive managed to get all my fabric for 180, and the helmet and force pike for 235, so I'm doing pretty good I think. Had black boots already that would work (though Id like to find red ones, but finding them in mens size 11.5 seems to be rather difficult)

Actually, on that note, is the rubies force pike also an okay starting point? or is it easier to go with something else?

The rubies force pike is not useful for anything.... it's a typical halloween toy

Yes, that is the Rubies one... you may need to paint it to match your fabric and the visor will need to be replaced.

For European members this may be an alternative, but the shipping to get this to North America or elsewhere in the world doesn't make it cost effective.
