Fabric out of stock and glove questions

Ok, so I have my helmet and it fits (yay), and my out robe fabric (double yay), and boots that actually match the outer fabric (yay yay yay). I am trucking along with getting all my pieces together, but I ran into a bit of a hitch. Syfabrics is out of stock in the dark burgundy. Does anyone know about how long it takes for them to get stock back in? I looked at distinctive fabric, and a few other places, but I liked syfabric's prices, and was hoping for something close to that price. The Joanne's near me has some, if worse comes to worse, but even with coupons their $15 a yard will still be a bit pricey.

Ok, next question.... gloves? Does anyone know of a good place to find these? I really really really don't want to sew my own gloves. I am pushing my ability as it is with the costume, and fingers might be my undoing. I have the mental picture of me as a crying, pathetic fetus on the floor. It's not pretty. :splode:

Any help would be awesome, and I will call you my hero.

Which version of the royal guard are you going for?

Suede gloves: http://www.maskworld.com/english/produc ... dy--103116

If you are going for ROTS I'm still looking for proper gloves myself :/

If you're going the ROTS route, ROTS guard gloves should be leather.

Scroll down and you will see the red ones. Mt g/f Tiggie is doing a ROTS guard and has these gloves.

Shivana thank you, that is what I was looking for. I would suppose I would need small or medium? I'm a girl and have skinny fingers, but they are extra long. Hmmm... questions.

I know they sale leather gloves on Amazon, I just couldn't find any plan suede ones... though it never hit me to look at men's... heh.. smart.

RoTJ guards are cloth gloves.... not suede or leather if memory serves me correctly....

The CRL states that the gloves for a ROTJ Royal Guard are, " Burgundy or dark purple cloth or suede gloves with no extraneous straps, buckles or ornamental stitching. The gloves are to cover the wearer's wrists." Suede gloves are OK.

Suede was really all I could find, though my internet skills are not awesome I know. If it comes down to it, I can always make some... I just really don't want to. I am following the CRL though, as best I can. :)
