Rubie's Helmet (picture heavy)

So, my Rubie's helmet came in today! :trsuit: Here are various angles of it. It's a darker red than I had thought. I'll have to get my fabric and see if I'll have to repaint, etc. Let me know if you want to see any other angles of it.

I'm anticipating changing the visor, you can see in the flash vs. no-flash photo that you can see my eyes when you take a flash picture. Any good recommendations on where to get a new visor or tint for the current visor?

I too would like to know. I ended up going with the Rubies for now and it will be arriving tomorrow. I want to get started on the visor asap! Thanks for posting pics. The helmet looks even better than I thought it would.

I do find that my shoulders kind of swim in it (like it nearly goes to the ends of my shoulders)...curious to see if you have the same issues. I might get shoulder pads, or maybe just the bulk of the robes will help keep it in place. But right now it wants to rotate on me, of its own accord.

Is the mirrored visor acceptable at all events or would we need to have a non-mirrored visor we can change it with for certain events?

Fettophile: I will try it on tomorrow evening and post here how it fits me.

Look's good mate.

How is the visor attached on the inside?
Is it going to be hard to remove?

I found the mirror visor on ebay, but in the description it says it's actually an insert that goes in a clear visor. Is this the correct one? And does that mean we'd need to obtain a clear visor to use this?

It seems to be attached with a bunch of little rivets, but it's probably also glued. Never removed a visor before...not sure how to do it. And how do you make sure that whatever new visor you replace it with has the same curvature?

its a plastic sheet that is glued to the helmet.
