Here's a picture of my helmet, a boot, and my outer robe fabric. Does the fabric look like an OK match for the helmet and boot?

That works. Suede will have a different texture color than Velvet and They both have a different Texture color from the plastic.

The colors look fine to me. I'm sure they will match more or less depending on the lighting of where you are trooping (e.g. indoors, outdoors when it is cloudy, outdoors when it is sunny, etc... )

They look not too bad... the only thing you could do to get it any closer would be to take the fabric to a paint store and see if they could match a colour to allow you to repaint the helmet a slightly closer shade of red... it's not easy getting the helmet and fabric the same colour due to the difference in the texture of the materials.
