Ok guys, I've been doing research for about a year now on the Shadowguard costume. After several false starts, I'm ready to get serious with my build. I scored some used English riding boots, but I'll be damned if I get even get them on so far. Any tips?

I also have customized my shoulder bells. Does this look like the correct shape?



Is it acceptable to attach the bells to the chest/back armor assembly a la TK?

Looks great so far. As for getting into the boots...you can take them to a shoemaker (not your big shoe store, but I bet most people can find a shoemaker within a 30-50 mile radius and see about either stretching or maybe adding a hidden zipper. Hard to say though. You'll want to make sure if you go the zipper route that it is hidden from sight.

What template did you use for the vambraces?

Shin armor is looking rather blocky and the boot armor is looking too big..

I custom-made a template based on the Lucasfilm picture, game screen-caps, and of course the photos in the CRL. I have been otherwise unable to find any templates.

The boot armor will adjust when it is held down by straps. In the photo the armor is just resting on the boot. As for t he shin, I was thinking it was too big and blocky. I will trim that down. Thanks.

I can appreciate that a strap will alter the shape slightly... but I'm still seeing the boot armor as too big...

Better to to start out big and trim than to have to remake cause of too small
