So far mine has easily made it through and entire troop or 2 on new batteries. The only thing to consider is rewetting the sponge.

Wow. I was just browsing all the builds on here and this is by far the coolest addition. Troopin in comfort lol. Now I want to buy an portable A/C unit just for kicks because of the hot weather here. Lol.

This is a great idea. I found them on eBay for only $10 with free shipping! Yea, I'll be ordering a couple for sure.

Great Idea indeed. I used this on a troop last friday and it worked very well. I wore a belt under my inner tunic and ran the hose through through the back of the inner and outer robes into my helmet. On a fresh set of batteries it can handle a whole troop.

I have the cooler on a belt underneath the robes and run up to my helmet. How is everyone getting the end of the tube to stay in a good position inside the helmet and not move everywhere?
Re: My Bucket is air conditioned
I've been trying to find a good way to do that. I had a troop on Saturday, and I tried running the tubes up underneath my underarmor shirt. And it worked wonderfully. Alternatively, some paired velcro on the inside of the helmet and on the tubes themselves would hold it in place. I considered doing that, but I wanted to try just the underarmor method first.

Velcro is a good idea...I will try that at the hockey game tomorrow...
