I noticed that about the TB vs TK bells. To me, the TK bells looked closer to the SG bells, than the TB bells did. That is why I went with the TK bells.

As far as the slant, I didn't really do that. Since there is a ridge that is higher than the plane of the bells for the TK, which is not supposed to be for the SG, I applied bondo to bridge the gap. I smoothed everything out so that it was a consistent plane.

The bells were taken off of an old "TX" set I had laying around. Hence the discoloration... bondo on black bells. I just hadn't painted them up yet.

So one yours is there not an angle from the mid-side meeting up the middle tang?

Looking at screen caps etc looks like there is an angle from the middle tang to the outer bell edge.

I went with TB bells as I needed to replace the ones I have for my TB - if it doesn't look quite right once painted etc I can always change them out, the ratios to your will be the same.

I should have it done by then - I need to sit down and spend some time looking at the
greeblies for the pike - and more time fixing the backplate, as well...um.. I applied to much heat. Grrrr.

I have a parts list of the items that I have used. I have them both for a non saber version and a saberversion. I'm still working out the kinks on the saberversion to have it where it has the greeblies and doesn't fall apart.

The suit is complete - but have since re-modded the bucket to give more of the v taper as we see in the ref pics.

I have one set of pics, but once I re-spray parts of the bucket I'll take new ones - Overall I am quite happy with Version 1.0 Saber turned out really nice - strong, lights up - even though it suffered a chip failure so no sound (working on a work around for that)

Cheers.

Did it fry the sound chip :o

Well I know when we do the CRL with this we won't make the EP3 helmet the only option. I know that the older helmets where larger. I can't wait to see the greebliees on the pike.

:vader: Be sure that you do, for the Emperor is not as forgiving as I am.
(been wanting a reason to use that Vader one for a while :D)

Seriously though, I can't wait to see your pics.
