We have a guy here in our garrision building himself a space marine set of armour from the warhammer 40k universe out of pepakura and instead of bogging it all he is skinning it with EVA foam.

Says it's easier and less messier.
Look's good too.

It's really funny that you mentioned the skinning idea, as my Father owns a foam manufacturer and supplier, so I happen to have hundreds of meters of 2mm & 5mm rolls in my shed, haha.

In fact, when he was over yesterday, he suggested I skin with it instead of mudding it.



They also manufacture Velcro, so my strapping system is also covered.

On a side note, the Space Marine build is absolutely awesome. I'm actually considering making one for my friends birthday, he's a huge 40k fanatic.

And thank you so much for the suggestions, looking at that build just inspires my own.
