Just a note the force pike is an aluminum shaft, with the spiky rasps done from steel, welded to the top, and painted. Pommel is the same, aluminum and shaped and painted. The pike comes apart in 2 main places, tip, and base of shaft, however the pommel can be detached as well if preferred.

Sadly no, I didn't do it myself. It is the design of one of the members of my garrison. Now mine is done, he is about to do a run of 2 - 3, which of course are available for shipping overseas. I can always pass on details for anyone interested, however I think he only does them as a complete pike, not individual pieces.

I'm happy with it. I'm sure there are little adjustments here and then that might make it better.

ROTJ Guard Progress Thread (Version 2.0)

Ok, rather than start a new topic I'm just going to update this one.

I've begun working on Version 2.0 of my outfit. After receiving many, many samples of velvet fabric, I've finally found one that I personally feel is perfect (and not $100 a meter.... Australian prices :( ). Thankfully the fabric is 100% cotton and weight wise will match up nicely with the inner velvet I'll order soon.

The idea for these robes is to get the pleating and draping correct; in other words get the appropriate look. We attend a larger number of inside events, and so far I'm feeling these robes when complete will be used in those situations, not outside as much.

I'll also be adding the Detachment design assisted boots from Gio as well. This will hopefully make for a more 'complete' look. Although I've got red suede boots, the colours won't match up, and having seen these boots first hand, they will be great!

Fabric literally arrived today so here's a picture of the sample with my helmet. I look forward to seeing how this one travels along :)
