So,....as I posted in the fb build group. Things were going great, weather had played ball, painting went off without a hitch. Was excited to get the super duper high gloss 2k clear on. It was an absolute disaster!!!
Followed the instructions on the can to the letter, it looked AMAZING just after the first pass. Then,.....

To say I was upset would be an incredible understatement. Im not exagerating when i said the entire kit was a hairs breadth away from being thrown into the back of the car and taken to the dump. I got lots of suggestions, explanations and opinions-some contradictory! Put on too heavy, temp was too high, too low. It mustve been too windy.Too close, too far away. It'll sand out. It needs another few coats. I wasn't in the mood to even look at the damned thing, so it was thrown(literally!) back into its shipping box and left in the corner for around a week or so.
After I calmed down a little, I decided what the hell, and popped into a local auto repair place 5 minutes from my house. Explained my predicament to a somewhat bemused owner, but he was game and I left it with him. Told him there was no rush, just look at it when you can.
Couple weeks go by, I get a call,.....

All I could say was wow.

I was ecstatic. Worth the extra cost.
So motivation restored, lets get back to it!
