Hi I cant say there 501st approved yet as I haven't yet finished the costume. As you will see from the previous posts they are a pair of leather gloves I have modified myself so match the CRL.

Hi Folks well getting there....
Next its the Bracers again decided to make my own So I went to a local company Eagle Plastics and
purchased some HIPS (High Impact PolyStyrene).

So step one I made a paper template then a cardboard former ...
I thought I colud heat he heat the HIPs in the oven and slum form it ?





I covered the former tin foil I felt this would help ? not sure bit it didn't hinder....



Meanwhile the HIPs cooked in the oven.......



Well I learnt my first lesson weight the edges or it folds up you don need much heat amount 93deg and its like putty.
But it will role up and stick to itself as it cools rapidly once out of the oven.

Hi Folks while working on the Gauntlets Shins etc I have finished the helmet, well less the lens but I thought I would share it with you in any case.

Raw Print Resin Coated in Filling Begins.



Grey Primer added after much sanding and filling...



Hi Build Primer Filler....



Finally Gloss Black Then Buffed To A Shine....



Got to say put a fare few hours in hear but worth the effort ???

I upload to photo bucket first then when that's done I use the IMG link created on the R/hand side and past that into my post.

Shins started in white ABS (its all I had)
I made a cardboard former to build them on the cut out all the parts.



I then proceed to glue these parts together on top of the former with an ABS solvent and tape in place until set



In the mean time I have a small glass pot with ABS offcuts in. I have covered these with solvent weld and are currently making a very effective joint filler / adhesive.
