Sounds like you are making great progress on your force pike. As for the serrated rasp, maybe plastic pyramid studs will work? You can carefully glue them to a cylindrical base and then paint the entire thing. I'm really surprised someone hasn't 3-D printed the ROTJ Royal Guard's Force Pike rasp yet.

ohhh now that's a good idea. I bet we already have a bunch of those lying around, as my wife and daughter like to do crafty things... artsy projects, too, from what I hear. :P

This is the closet I've found for 3d printing files for the force pike.

On to the boots. I came across a pair that look like they will be ok. They are knee-high, but look to be easily alterable to bring them down to calf-length.

The shots provided above are for the same boot, but they took pictures of each of the colors for the different angles. The color will be like the red ones. The material is red flock suede. Will these work? The brown boot picture is the best at showing the material type.

EDIT: They, according to the site, are slip-on, so there are no zippers or fasteners.

Sorry for the weak photos, but I only have what the vendor website shows.

Here is the link for the boots from above. Seems pretty cheap (~$40CAD) and free shipping from China (at least to Canada it is).

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Women-bo ... 43790.html

Nicely enough, they run up to size 12 women's which is roughly a US size 10 mens.

Will see how easy it is to cut them down, as over-the-knee might be a little long... but worst case they'll work as-is.

Edit: minor re-wordings, added price, etc.

Those boots will be fine as guards have flat heeled boots that can be seen in ROTS.

Helmet kit arrived from gmrhodes13 and it looks fantastic. The stepping to customize the sizing will be my favorite part I can already tell, as I couldn't get my head half-way into a Rubies helmet. Now just have to start working on this beauty.

I even missed the the post where it said red mirror tint was included, so now I'm even happier.

One step closer to :trsuit:
