I think the Jackboots are not long enough and too wide at the top to work. Look more into riding boots and officer boots.

You would need to look for the Captain boot style for the shadowguard.

I've also looked closely to some costumes and it really calls for a long boots style like the captain ones. Thanks!

Been looking into the boots here and the dressage riding boots of old were absolutely PERFECT for this. That said, they now only make them with zippers and a lot are up the back or even the front. Turns out they are VERY hard to find and likely would have to go second hand to try and even find them, and they are not cheap either.

Going to be an interesting part of the costume to track down and find.

Having a zipper on the inside of the boot will not deter membership.

Are these boots approvable for a Shadow Guard?

The boots above are equestrian/riding boots. My only concerns are the strap - i can hide it with the shin webbing - and the zipper. Please advise.

They would need to be even at the top minus the detailing. Otherwise they have the correct look.

Thanks Stephen! But I'm afraid I did no quite understood. At the top it has the spanish style referred in the CRL. It's too much pronunciated? On the other hand what is the detailing? The snap and strap? I'm sorry to insist but I need to be sure before buy ou discard the boots.

Image This would be the boot behind the Calf armor.

Image This would be the close style that your looking for with no ornimental stitching on the boot.
