Actually appears to be based on the ROTS - TFU style, Though a straight on photo would be appreciated.

I've been doing a bit of research on this as well since I'm planning on printing mine and my buddies helmet as well.

The point in the neck area is much longer than a movie style guard helmet, and the shoulder areas are smaller and at a slightly higher angle.

In looking at the CRLs for all the movie style Royal Guards, I noticed that the helmets all have similar styles when it comes to a stubbier neck point and wider shoulders. The TFU Shadow Guard has the same style as this 3D printable file, however. I haven't contacted the original file designer yet, but I would assume that he probably ripped the 3D file straight from the game, scaled it, cleaned it up, and chopped it into 3D printable files. If that is the case, then one really couldn't get any more accurate than that when it comes to a TFU Shadow Guard.

Even if that wasn't the case, the helmet used for the official 501st CRLs is of this style, and not of the movie style.

So one could argue two points on the style of this 3D printable helmet:
-No, it's not movie accurate, but it's video game accurate
-It's the style seen on the CRLs, so it's good to go!

I've seen at least one person chopping up a movie style bucket to match the game style buckets. Obviously there's a distinction here.

Hope my n00b research has helped clear this up a little!

As yet, no one has done a 3d printed helmet. The status on if it would be approvable will remain pending until the helmet has been produced and finished.

Most people have used the movie accurate helmets as they are a significantly more readily available resource at this point in time.

Please make sure you print only 1 helmet and post up the details here for review before continuing on so that if there are issues we can point them out ahead of time and save you the resources of the second helmet.

Yes. As noted earlier, there are issues with the sizing and details of the helmet that you printed that would render it not eligible for approval.

Yea sorry, my comments came thinking it was a movie helmet, which obviously looking at it you're not going for. Having said that, at a minimum I would have thought there were end product issues with the detail that need to be addressed in the process (from the photos posted).
