Lining for a SG robe

Post by TK IAIN »

Hi there!

Borrowing an account from a UKG member (with permission of course!!) to ask a quick question as I am working on a set of SG robes for said member :)

I have been doing a load of research and found fabric I am happy with, but suddenly, whilst examining someones RG robes at the weekend I began to wonder, what lining material do SG robes use? Is it velvet lined with velvet (like the RG robes I looked at the weekend) or is it standard "lining" material, which can have a touch of shine to it.

I want to be absolutely as accurate as possible!

I have looked at numerous screen shots from EpI where you can see the undersuit for the SG's and also have the "Dressing a galaxy" book, but the shots are just not close enough for me to make a decision on the lining :( am happy with chosing the colour, just want input on what material would be accurate.

Thanks for the help guys :)

The lining for the outer blue velvet robe should be a silky type of material such as this: http://www.syfabrics.com/View.aspx/Taff ... -/2252/256
