I was browsing YouTube looking for guides on making the robes. I found the following:

Essentially he makes the robes by making a big rectangular shape and draw stringing the top to gather it, then the gathered part goes round the neck/shoulders.
This seems simple to do and takes half the fabric the pattern elsewhere in this forum takes. He talks in the video a lot about 501st approval. My concern is if the robes would form the right kind of pleats/folds.
Can anyone confirm either way if this is a good tutorial to follow ?
Is this tutorial good for approvable robes ?
