As seen in the video game "The Force Unleashed". Now an approved costume!

Keep Trooping robes?

Post by Aesmodan »

Anyone have experience with these?

Anyone have other recommendations for reliable TFU Shadow/Royal Guard robes?

Cheers

Just going off the photos he provides, the belt looks wrong and I'm not sure about the kama either. I bought some stuff for a different costume for him and needed to have some extra work done to it for it to pass muster.

Mine passed with the UK garrison, the robe's are the exact same material as they used for the films Image it is brilliant and high quality, but always double check with your armourer to be Shure Image

My Royal guard is from him, and the quality was very good. The belt is not supposed to have the rivet btw.But for a TFU Shadow/royal, I don't see the reason to go with his kit. It is way over-priced I think. My TFU Shadow is a one piece coverall from Red Kap (75$ CAD), Belt from Magmel (premium quality, 100$ CAD, Riding boots from Decathlon (50$ CAD, but cheap), gloves around 75$-100$ CAD, and the kama was done by me for around 15$. But his boots makes a big price difference , but they are worth it, an the outer robe is probably not cheap to do i guess.

Hello again @ugcspawn! Didn't catch you at Ottawa Comic Con?

I discovered Decathlon in Paris last year, bought a lot of their fleece! Didn't know they had boots!

Agree, my RedCap flightsuit has already been tailored, I went with Wampawear gauntlets ('repurposable' for multiple costumes), I had two sets of officers boots already, your recommended officer-style belt without rivet is awesome (won't buy any other again), I did my own kama -- but I don't think I would attempt to do my own robes.

I wouldn't buy the complete kit from KeepTrooping, but he is willing to sell me only the outer robe -- so I wondered if people liked it / whether the colour (red) was on target.

Cheers,
-Tom

Wasn't me at the Ottawa con, but I know we had a few ppl from our garison on site. Will do the trip eventually, I've already trooped with a few of you guys at the Mtl con !

https://www.decathlon.ca/en/p/8580765/h ... -100-black

Here is the link for the boots that I used for my shadow. They are a strange synthetic material that looks like rubber, almost nothing stick to them. Even E6000 eventually came off like goo. Only thing that I found is grey pvc plumbing glue, as I think the strange material is indeed pvc. 35$ CAN, had to beat, and they are ok confortable.

The outer robe you are referinc from keeptrooping, it's the one for the TFU Shadow/Royal? If so, I'd like to know how much he is selling it alone. Might be tempted for a black one.
