Royal Guard 3d print files

Post by Frankie.Clone »

Hello Everyone,
I recently have gotten my hands on some 3d print files for the royal/shadow/senate guard and wanted to ask you all for your opinion on how accurate these are. As far as I know they are at least close to accurate. I will also ask my local GML but I wanted to ask you for your opinion too :D
I will post the pictures below:

Helmet:

Back:

Abdomen:

Shoulders:

Arms:

Thighs and Feet:

All of the Armor:

Some edges I will have to smooth out or change when printed (like those little details on the side of the back piece), but I just wanted to ask if they would be acceptable in general. And also ignore the sudden color changes in the pictures

I'm also waiting for access to Damon's Saber Pike files so hopefully I can start printing those soon :)

Any help would be appreciated :D
Cheers

back is wrong ( it should not have rivets). Shoulder bells are wrong ''as-is''. It looks like there is 2 different models in your pictures (front has duckbill, side doesn't) You need the duckbills, but it has to smooth itself out , not a sharp cut). Bracers, shins and spats seems ok.

I would recommend not printing that helmet, unless in ABS. It's a large bucket, and it get hot in there. This will warp because of the heat.

Thank you for the tips! :)
I will see what I’ll do about the helmet then, You’re right about warping

I’m having a bit of a problem with the duckbills. I’m not a native english speaker so unfortunately I don’t exactly know what is meant by that. Sorry if that’s a dumb question

Again thank you for the answer :)

the duckbill is the raised section on the shoulder bell. Think of it as a mohwawk punk haircut ;)

Here are mine from when I had to cut them. You can see that the raise section smooth off on the bicept section, not a hard cut
