Electro-Halberd assembly inquiry

Post by Overcheska »

Hey there guys,
First of all, I apologize if this topic is not in the right place.
First time I write in the forum, I'm Cesar (Overcheska) from Spain and I'm preparing a Praetorian Guard Mandalorian suit together with a Biker (this one is almost finished) to join the Spanish Garrison.

Regarding the Praetorian Guard, I have read all the forum and the various WIPs in the corresponding section, which have been very useful, and I already have the soft parts and a good portion of the armor ready, but I have doubts when assembling the Electro Halberd.

The thing is that I ordered a print from Empire3Dau and I am having problems to assemble the lower pipe with all the little circles, there are about 65, is it necessary to use a metal tube as a support for this part and that the little circles go on it? I say this because the 3D printed inner tubes are too short and small to cover this part, and in any case, it looks like a lot of work.

There are hardly any assembly instructions and Nic, the owner has directed me to Paolo (Shikkakku) for clarification.
Do you have by any chance a diagram or photo of how to do it?

Also, an additional doubt, do you know any recommended battery that can fit in the top / middle for the purple led of the edge? I have a power bank that I have used in similar projects, but it does not fit in the top pipe, the diameter of the battery is too small to fit in the top pipe.

Thank you very much, best regards.

Hey Cesar,

Yes you posted in the right place. I'll see if I can help with your questions:

1) The little circles need to go over a supporting pipe, I used PVC at 1/2" diameter.

You can print out each small and large ring, or you can print the combined part "handle detail long", but be careful as it'll be very delicate.

2) the battery can be difficult. I used one from amazon that I had to disassemble to just get the battery and the control board for it.

Unfortunately it shows unavailable on Amazon....hopefully you can find an equivalent size battery locally. The pipe I used for the top half is larger in diameter than the bottom pipe (1" upper vs 1/2" lower) to allow for things to fit in

Hope that helps! I really need to commit to writing up my build... I now regret not taking more photos. Feel free to reply for more questions, or message me here or on facebook.
