Difference Between Lava Trooper/Royal Guard in Stormtrooper

Does anyone know if there is a difference in armour between Lava Troopers and Royal Guards when in red Stormtrooper Armour?

I was thinking of in the future getting Stormtrooper armour for a Royal Guard. However there does not seem to be much information in what the difference in armour between the specialist Magna Troopers and Royal Guards is (both just appear to be red).

When not performijg duties aa a guard, they were allocated back into rank and file? I think they were just in regular stormtrooper armour (possibly working in teams together, not sure)?

If you go by Legends they certainly took rotations into Stormtrooper units to maintain combat readiness.
