WIP Royal Guard AOTC from Austria :)
Re: WIP Royal Guard AOTC from Austria :)
Long time ago from the last posting but today was the first fitting day
For the outer robe I take this fabric:
http://www.diegewandschneidervonavalon. ... _karminrot
and for the inner robe and the lining this fabric:
https://www.stoff4you.de/Deko-Stoffe/De ... weihnachts
This are the first pictures from the inner robe and the lining from the outer robe.I belive the inner robe fits well and the shoulder part and overlap at the arms from the lining should also be o.k. . I´m 6'0 (184cm) and so I will make the sash 4 inch (10cm) wide and the strip in the middle 1,2 inch (3cm). How does it look, you can see after the second fitting.

So, second fitting is over and now I post some pictures to get your opinion.
Follow things are still to do, until to the next fitting:
inner robe:
- inner robe is still to hem and should be ready then
outer robe:
- outer robe is to hem
- both shoulder need a little rework
- the neck must be still made
All coments are welcome:

Very good progress.
Re: WIP Royal Guard AOTC from Austria :)
Thanks for your Feedback. It helps a lot, when you get the opinion from spezialists. It's not allways easy, to explain my seamstress how she should make some parts of the costume, because she doesn't always know what I want, and I don't know what she mean . I think the problem is, I'm from the dark side and she not
Re: WIP Royal Guard AOTC from Austria :)
Looking nice, as was already mentioned. Good job so far!
Edit: I found, when working with my seamstress, the more reference pictures I sent her the more she understood what I was going for. The more angles the better. If you use Google, just make sure they are movie references and not halloween costumes or something else that will not fit the CRL.
