Darth Aloha's ROTJ Build
Hi all,
I can't seem to find the answer to this after a bit of poking around... what do folks use to fill in the don post copyright at the back of the helmet?
If it were any other material but the DP rubbery plastic I would use bondo... but it seems a wee bit too brittle.
Many thanks,
-Eric

Re: Filling in the DP copyright
Mostly it is sanded down.
I heard of some used hot glue to fill it.

That's interesting. Can you sand hot glue?Sascha_Wilsing wrote:Mostly it is sanded down.

I'll try sanding it down but I think I'd like to find some sort of sandbale flexible goop.
Thanks

Re: Darth Aloha's ROTJ Build
Hi... I might as well make this a build thread.... would someone be kind enough to move it somewhere more appropriate?
Thanks,

Ok... a few questions...
Is there any other opening on the ROTJ outer robe other than the right arm hole?
Is the right arm hole a slit that goes all the way up or is it actually a hole?
The CRL says this about the arm hole "This opening is obscured by the overlapping edges of the robe." Does that mean there is something extra I need to sew in the outer robe or will it naturally be obscured?
Is the lining of the outer robe sewn to the top layer all the way around the bottom and arm hole? Or is it more like two layers at the hems?
Many thanks,
-Eric

Hopefully this can give you a bit of an aspect from movie stills on how they are worked. Will follow up with any other answers to your questions.

1st question's answer: No there is no other opening other than the arm hole.
2nd question's answer: The arm opening is a slit not a hole.
3rd question still remains totally unclear "This opening is obscured by the overlapping edges of the robe."
4th question still open: Is the lining of the outer robe sewn into the outer lining all the way around? Are they hemmed together around the bottom and up the arm slit?
Many many thanks,
-Eric

Re: Darth Aloha's ROTJ Build
The slit is covered with overlapping parts.
The lining is all around the outer robe.
