I just received a Don Post Helmet and I have some questions for the group.
It seems to be made of a rubbery plastic material and the back edge is curled in. How do I get it back in shape.
The color doesn't match my robes. Can it be painted and what type of paint do I use.
Are their any other mods I will need to do to make 501st approval.
Thanks
Larry C

Re: Don Post Helmet mods
The Don Post Royal Guard Helmets are Made of Vinyl Plastic. They don't take well to extreme temperature variations. They are known to warp very badly in the heat and be brittle in extreme cold. You can heat the edges to form it back to shape. Laying some fiberglass resin on the inside can help with the helmet warping issue.

Re: Don Post Helmet mods
Thanks for the information. I figured it could be heated and shaped but wanted to make sure. I will definitely glass the edge to give it some strength.
Thanks
