Starting my ROTS Royal Guard

Hi Guys!

I'm Kevin from Indonesia Outpost. I'm planning to start my ROTS Royal Guard costume.

I've ordered the bucket already and started making the Jackboots (made it initially for Bridge Crew/Reserve Pilot). I went to the fabric shop and found these fabrics for the outer and inner robe. Can i please get your comment on it? If its right

Hi.
I think you can use the red for the outer and the burgundy for the lining of the outer.
The underrobe would be made of cloth.

For the ROTS underrobes - Gaberdine - Bottomweight in Burgundy would be what your looking for.

So for the outer robe the colors are ok ya. For the inner robe though does the gabardine fabric will need to be exactly the same color as the inner lining?

I will look for the gabardine tomorrow then!

Correct the Lining is the same as the inner robes.

What about using deep burgundy velvet for the inner robe isn't that acceptable as well?

Being one of the lenient Detachments around. There are folks who have done Velvet underrobes with the ROTS version with black boots. Comes down to how close you want to reproduce the guards from the movie.

Me with Kevin, starting to build ROTS Royal Guards here in Indonesia.
We already order 5 kits bucket, hope can find right fabric and finish before Comic Con this year.
So there will be at least 5 new Royal Guards to build.
