The actually game model doesn't have TK straps and is attached which web strapping. This helps the helmet sit flush with the shoulders also. The Kama would be cut like a skirt which comes to the seam of the flight suit. I can pull you up model references for this.

Reference photos would be great, thanks. I'm not sure where to find them, and we no longer have the game.

Yesterday I purchased the flight suit from the link you sent, along with the boots from the first post, and a set of gloves. the gloves aren't the ones from the first post; they are a different brand, but they fit the CRL better as they have the 3 lines on the back of the hand

hello,
I have begun construction of the costume.

The other day my flight suit arrived in the mail, and I wasted no time removing all of the pockets.

My Funtasma Captain's boots arrived as well. I'll have to add an insole and use heavy socks as I had to buy size 14; they were the only ones that would fit my 19" calves

Did my best to come up with a pattern for the vambraces that looks like the CRL pics

What I'm most interested in knowing is whether or not they are the correct shape and if they are proportional.

If they're correct, I will try fiberglassing them and using bondo. This is my first time trying anything like this, so I'm looking for a bit of insight.

Thanks for your help,
Jesse

WOOHOO!!
A big brown box arrived today.
Inside were these:
Image

I've got a red sport visor ordered for the lens, and I'm going with a matte black for the armor parts

I'm planning to sew Velcro to the flight suit and putting the hook side in the shoulderbells to attach them; same with the vambraces. Speaking of which, I didn't have time today to finish Bondo-ing the vambraces. I'll probably finish them this weekend.

That's all for now; Thanks,
Jesse

Slowly moving forward...

I would still like to get the armor kit or the patterns to make the pieces other than the chest plate. until then, I am trying to make the pieces as best I can

Image
Finished the helmet

Image
Spats made from $1.99 PVC couplers. i still need to sand down the raised circles, add snap plates for elastic, and paint

Image
Image
decided to see how what I have looks.

list of "To Dos:"

Flight Suit:
Stitch Velcro on to hold pieces in place
Chest:
Add snap plates; paint
Backplate:
Get/Make; add snap plates; paint
Ab plate:
Get/Make; paint
Vambraces:
Get/Make; paint, add Velcro

I have ordered a Saberpike. just waiting on that to arrive. Let me know if i'm missing anything, or something looks off.

Thanks,
Jesse
