best order to build

Post by cd12184 »

:tr: :trsuit: hey all. This will be my first build. Just wondering what would be the best order to build it. Should I go helmet first that way I can match the fabric to the Helmet color? I'm just worried I saw crimson red but I have seen there's a million different shades of red. Or should I worry about the robes first then the helmet. I was thinking I get the helmet primed but not painted then worry about the robes. That way when I do paint the helmet I can be like I want it this exact red. Let me know what you guys think.

No real certain order. Its just easier to paint a helmet to fabric than match fabric to a painted helmet. I would take a swatch of the fabric your going to use and match up to that paint.

For my build that is still in progress, I started with my inner robes first, then am working outwards. I took the burgandy fabric to stores looking for red outer rob fabric to ensure the best match/contrast.

Like others said, start with the robes and then the helmet. In the meantime make yourself your own forcepike, much like a Jedi makes his own lightsaber :)

I actually started with my force pike first. Next thing I did was get all of the soft parts constructed/acquired before moving on to the helmet, because once you have all of the soft parts, it'll be easier to match the color of the robes to the helmet, since that is one of the more important aspects. But like others have said, move at your own pace!
