Creating an Outer Robe Pattern

Post by secureideas »

Hi all,

I was marching in SWW this past weekend and I dropped my helmet. Of course it cracked pretty bad. I am looking to get it repaired, but as a back up purchased a replacement Rubies costume. (I am VERY aware that the robes are not approvable.)

Since I had to buy the whole costume, I was wondering if anyone could answer a question. Would I be able to use the robes from the costume as a pattern for a set of replacement robes? I am thinking I would like to remake mine based on knowing a lot more about sewing since they were made.

Thanks!
Kevin

I really couldn't Answer that one on the design of the robes. The reason the robes are not approvable is due to the craftsmanship of the costume. I have heard of folks getting these only to have the gloves and robes stitching come loose.
