To sew or not to sew ( inner/ outer robe patterns)
Does anyone know if there are sewing patterns out there for the inner and outer robes? What about for gloves? Ive been searching the boards and I cant seem to find anything. This would be my first build for 501st approval and it's also my first attempt at sewing, so I'll take any help I can get. On the flipside, are there any seamstresses or people who do commissions that could supply the robes? I know we have vendors for buckets and pikes and such but I can't seem to find people in the robe business.

Velvet is a tricky material, I'd suggest caution if you plan on sewing it for the first time.

If you can´t sew (like me
) Try to find a good seamstress who can help you out. You will be definitely more satisfied with the endresult.

That's what I'm thinking of doing and I think I might know someone who could help. Would you know offhand where to find sewing patterns? If they even exist? I know this is something she would want to see to at least get an idea on how to approach it.Cabbagefarmer wrote:If you can´t sew (like me) Try to find a good seamstress who can help you out. The outer robes aren't what I'm concerned about considering its pretty straight forward. It's the inner robes in which I'm more concerned about.

Inner robes can also be gabradine.

Tech Badger, I don't know what build you are making, but we just posted a few days ago the patterns for the outer robe for AOTC Royal Guard, donated by Star Guard.

I'm planning on doing a ROTJ guard. I haven't been on in a few days so I haven't been keeping up with the boards.

I´m very sorry, neither my seamstress or I did a pattern for the softparts. Otherwise I would be glad to share.
