Helmet fans and cooling systems

I've just started experimenting with fans for my DP. One of our garrison members bought a bunch of different sized fans at cost and will be selling those to Legion members.

Anywho... I will be posting pics of my final mods when done. My problem is my big head. The DP is tight, but I like the look (that and I'm too cheap to spend the big bucks for a FP or CP model - paid $125 for the DP).

Right now, it looks like I will use a "Nidec Gamma27" (model A35236-57) fan mounted just below my chin. The fan will blow air UP in front of my face, and with the air vents on my new visor, should keep the visor dry and me cool. Unfortunately, I must mount the fan after I put the helmet on with velcro, as the fan is larger and will suck up the top of my robes.

The all famous question...how to cool the RG.....

I have multiple costumes and this one BY FAR is the hardest to breath in. It works much better as an indoor costume.

I don't have any fans in there but I use a respirator for the breathing part.

Mine isn't powered and a half mask with out the face shield. Hose runs down to the belt. This way I breath in cool air and do not breath in exhaled CO2.

Works well, sometimes have fogging but not bad. If I tighten up the mask good enough breath goes down.

You can take it one step further like I did - 2 fans , one on either side of the lens that has a small gap - here the key - have one sucking air in - and the other blowing out, keeps good circulation.

I've actually got 3 fans in my bucket (it's a fiberglass one). I've got 2 on the cheeks blowing upwards towards my ears, and one right above my visor pointed down blowing towards my nose. I've also got a gap at the bottom of my visor. Is this perfect? No. Does it at least give me a sense of air movement? Absolutely! Also, there are times where I get my shoulders hunched just right and it allows me to get what feels like a super cold flow of air up my neck and into the top of my head circulating. When that happens it feels like a bucket of ice water has been poured on my head. For the record...that's a good thing.
