Camelback Water backpack?

Post by DarthShu »

Has anyone on here tried using a Camelback water "backpack" under the robes and up through the helmet to stay hydrated? I was contemplating buying one to try, but I figured before I go out and spend the bucks only to not have it work, I'd ask on here. I wasn't sure if it would stick out in the back (I'm a ROTJ RG) too much, but I thought it could be a good idea that way the tube straw is always right there to keep you hydrated and you wouldn't have to stop trooping to get a drink of good 'ol H2O. Thoughts??

Thanks!

It all depends on how it looks with your robes. There is no set answer on this with how much robes vary from person to person

I bought one to use for a July baseball game. Froze it prior to leaving the house to keep it nice and cold. Two problems...one...it was TOO cold on my back (that could be solved by not freezing it of course)...and two...having the extra thing run into my helmet made me feel more cluttered and I hated keeping it in my mouth the whole time. You couldn't tell it was under my robes so hey...to each their own but I wouldn't do it again. When I get thirsty I head back to the changing room, remove my bucket and drink :)
