One thing you'll need to fix outside of the paint is the visor as it is not tinted dark enough for approval.
Do you think it is salvagable?

If you can get it on and get a picture, then it's salvageable... It might just need a lot of TLC and elbow grease

I was feeling a little bummed out about my helmet last night, so I knocked up a custom forcepike case from this old pool cue case. What do you guys think?

Thanks. I was given the case from a Billiards supplies place when I couldn't find a cue case to fit. The guy found it in the back and said he had it lying around for over ten years. Really nice guy. $4 for glue, $1 for foam and $1.30 for crushed velvet. Total $6.30, the feeling I got when I placed the forcepike in it, priceless.

Pool cue cases are a good option. Also, fishing rod bags are handy as well.

My first pike was a 4' pool cue (single piece) so a case like that wouldn't work. My current one is made from an aluminum ski pole I picked up at a yard sale (also a single piece). I'm going to look into the fishing rod bag...as my current pike doesn't really need to be protected all that much since it's already aluminium.

Thanks. I thought that since you made such a beautiful forcepike, it should have a beautiful place to rest. :)
