Well, I fear I may be out a few hundred bucks... helmet was shipped Jan. 8th, and it still has not arrived. Sad day. Now I have to start re-saving. *sigh* Just when I thought I'd be completed with my costume, this happens. Very disappointing. And the seller has basically dropped off the face of the earth. Tried contacting him several times and he doesn't reply back. Here's to a very bad review for him...

Well... convinced my helmet is lost somewhere in this great wide world, and I'm officially out close to $300... any ideas on where to purchase a good, reliable helmet, could you let me know? Either PM me or reply here. This has been a huge blow to me as this was the last thing I needed to complete my costume, and now I have to start saving up from scratch again... so, any help or if anyone knows anyone that is selling ROTJ helmets, please, please, pleeeease let me know. I'm tempted to contact FP since that is where I got my soft parts from and see if he can make one up for me. Like I said, this was a huge let down and major disappointment both financially and mentally, and because of this incident, I may never use E-bay again. Again, I'll take and consider any resources or recommendations. Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you've had.

My advice would be to look for a Rubies on Amazon. That's where I ordered my wife's helmet and it arrived within a week of us ordering it.

I really like the finish, quality, and lightweight helmets from TPE (it's what I have). They are however the most expensive helmet that I at least know of. He does ship internationally, and has done so on quite a few occasions. If cost isn't a problem once you save...

Having said that, the rubies could work with very little effort.

I wanted to give an update. I finally received the helmet in the mail today (March 10)!!!!! It looks really good, I need to fix the visor (a little too see through for my liking), and I haven't held it up or put it on with my robes yet to see if the color matches, but I just wanted everyone that reads this that it did finally come, and it literally made me jump out of my couch to get (and kick my dog halfway down the hall too... hey, he got in my way... what can I say? :) ) Thanks to everyone that PMed me about other options for helmets! It's great to know that in the 501st, everyone comes together to help others out!!! Ya'll have been awesome!!
