Cabbagefarmer´s Force Pike based on ROTJ!
Re: Cabbagefarmer´s Force Pike based on ROTJ!
I like the red one. I'm very happy with my pike.
Would you consider making switchable bases for me, like the one with the rubber grips and brass color?

On CE 2 Europe there was a raffle on the 501st Dinner on saturday 7.27.2013! As one of the prices there for I donate a Force Pike! Lucky Winner was a member of the German Garrison! May he will become a TR some day
The earnings for the raffle get into charity!

To all potential new Imperial Guardsmen (of which I am one) and those that are already in the ranks, yet are still looking for an amazing pike, Cabbagefarmer is a guardsman you should talk to.
What Cabbagefarmer sent me is a masterpiece of machined engineering. Simple, elegant and if you could say that a "prop" replica is beautiful, then that is what it is. Please note that I have seen truly amazing designs of spikes on this website and I commend you all for your talents. However, I now own an original CF force pike of exquisite German engineering.
I could not be happier! Thank you CF!!!

Force Pike with light and sound! Prototyp is done^^
After some lively discussion with Sascha, we both decided to develop a Force Pike with light and sound. Sascha does all the electronic devices and my part was to create the body for this Force Pike!
Finally we made a prototyp which works awesome
Images of the Pike:

The top with acryl glass Rasp:

The hilt, inside there are all electronic parts!
Sascha will do some informations about the electronic topic!

Re: Cabbagefarmer´s Force Pike based on ROTJ!

On this Image you can see the lightning effect of the rasp in daylight.
I used some exceptional electronics on this.
Its a high power LED in royal-blue with an output of 3,5W.
The driver for the LED and the sound is placed on a plecterlabs Nano Biscotte board.
So at the moment it sounds like a sith-lightsaber with swing, clash and humming sound.
I am currently working on alternative sound which fits better.
You can hear the sound through a 2W 8 Ohm speaker which has a maximum output of 98 db.
You can hear the pike even with your helmet on.
The humming gives a light vibration in the knob where the speaker is placed.
So you can feel that the pike is powered too.
For the power source i used 4 times 1,4V 2700mAh NiMh rechargeables which are using
most of the space in the hilt. Also for cooling the LED there is a 3cm long full aluminium block used
which prevents the hilt from melting away when you light the pike up for more then just a few minutes.
These high power LED are emitting quite a lot of heat.
For all of this just getting out of the beta-phase it has become a pretty nice piece of work.
So hope you enjoy the next generation of fully operational pikes from CF and me.

My latest project: For the ROTJ Pike I figured out a new kind of hilt!
