Rubies Material?

For modifying the Don Post helmet, adding the extras for a Crimson Empire helmet, as well as painting, padding, speakers, fans, etc.

Rubies Material?

Post by DarthNomad »

Question for all you Rubies owners: I am going to be repainting my Rubies bucket to match my fabric, but there a couple of small divots to fill, so I was wondering if anybody knew what type of plastic the Rubies is. Or better yet, what to use as filler.

Secondly, any type of paint that's specifically better for this bucket?
Thanks all!

Funny you ask this:

If you have not already done so. I used testor model car paint, I will have to find the exact color in the next couple of days, but it left it looking ugly and I was for sure I ruined my helm

After 2 days of thinking on it, I decided to use the testor paint thinner on a small rag to see if I could remove the blotches and build up....

viola! It blended and filled all my marks! :tr2:

If you go this method, I would do the underside edge as a test first (my original mistake), but it worked out in the end for me!

I will find the color once I hit the garage in a couple of days!
