This is the little bit more specific CRL still in work.

Description: Shadow Guard, The Force Unleashed

The 501st approval requirements are listed in black.

For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met.
•This CRL is a work in progress.
This costume may be approved by GMLs, but until the library entry is complete, it is suggested that
this character first be submitted to the appropriate DL/GML peer review section of the legion forum.
•
If you have this costume and would like to assist with the completion of this library entry,
please contact your detachment leader.
•
Please note that the use of the word "should" below does not indicate that the armor piece is
considered open to interpretation. All instances of "should be" and "should have" will be
replaced with "is" and "has", as this guide is completed.
•
Required Costume Components
The following costume components are present and appear as described below.
Helmet
For 501st approval:
Painted either in matte or gloss-finished, in a black shade that
matches the outer robe, with a red visor that allows maximum
visibility, but hides the wearer’s features. Red mirrored visor are allowed.
Can be cut down to have less shoulder part. Shoulder Part must still cover the part where Chest and back armor are attached.

Undersuit
For 501st approval:
Black cloth undersuit with no visible zippers or pockets.
•
Chest
For 501st approval:
Chest plates must be shaped to mimic the visual reference, based
on a RotJ Storm trooper chest plate. Must be in same finish like the helmet.

Back
For 501st approval:
Back plate: Back plate must be shaped to mimic the visual
reference. Based on a Storm Trooper back plate without any risen part.
Must be in same finish like the helmet.

Shoulder Bells
For 501st approval:
Shoulder Bells: Shoulder bells must be shaped to mimic the visual
reference and must have a duckbill style based on Storm Trooper
shoulder bell. This includes the Storm Trooper raised Detail that
slopes down smooth to the duckbill section of the shoulder.
Must be in same finish like the helmet.

Abdominal
For 501st approval:
Abdominal Plates: Abdominal plates must be shaped to mimic the
visual reference. It’s top is under the chest armor and lower part under the belt.
It can be slightly curved. It is made out of a plate that has three risen parts. One at each side and one in the middle. The part in the middle is twice the size of the side parts.
Must be in same finish like the helmet.

Note: All body armor components must be secured to the costumer?s bodysuit by either 1)
harness/strapping system, 2) Velcro/Snaps, and cannot hang free.
•
Vambrace
For 501st approval:
Vambraces/Gauntlets must be shaped to mimic the visual
reference They have no seam and are round about. Length is from wrist to crook of the arm.
Must be in same finish like the helmet.

•
Black Gauntlet Gloves
For 501st approval:
Black, leather or leather-like, enclosed fingered, non-textured, (normal
leather grain/texture/lines are acceptable) fitted gauntlet style.
Must cover the wrist of the wearer and reach under the Vambrace.

•No buckles, straps, or decorative stitching.
Three straight lines, on the back of the hand (that match some
references), are optional.
•
Belt
For 501st approval:
•The belt is made of black leather or leather like material 2 inches wide.
The belt should have incised lines one eighth of an inch from the top
and bottom.
•
The buckle shall be constructed from a horizontally brushed metal,
or metal looking material.
There are no visible holes in the belt.
•
•Buckles are adorned with an Imperial Code Disk at the center.
Kama
For 501st approval:
Kama must match respected armor color, made of same material as
the flight suit.
•
Shins
For 501st approval:
Shin armor must be constructed with the same material and color as
the armor and reflect the style of Jango Fett shins. The shins must reach over the top of the boots and are attached with two elastic bands of 3cm width.
Must be in same finish like the helmet.

•
Officer Boots
For 501st approval:
Knee-high, black, lace-less, smooth non-textured, leather or
leather-like material.
•There are no stretch panels, buckles, snap tabs, or decoration.
•Boots have conservative heels.
No zippers.
•
The top of the boots may be flat or Spanish Style, but not Cowboy or
Super Hero (pointed at the front) style.
•
•Exact replicas of English riding (dress) boots or Equestrian boots.

Spats
For 501st approval:
•Boot Armor must done in the style of Jango boot armor. A curved peace reaching over the instep of the boot from floor to floor.
Must be in same finish like the helmet.


Optional Accessories
Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present
appear as described below.
Saberpike
For 501st approval:
Saberpike is to match the visual reference set by the diagram of the
Shadow Guard weapon. MAUL sabers on a stick are not
acceptable.

Force Unleashed Shadow Royal Guard costume May have (but not required):
Outer robes: Outer robes should be constructed of black velvet or velveteen; inner lining must be
constructed of black cloth material. These robes are to be done in the Episode 2 style: AOTC robes, with the
following modifications. A single slit is to be added in the center of the back so as to be able to wrap the
back of the robes around the hands, with the front robe section going over the shoulder on right.
