my first 501st costume (carnor jax, all info is welcome)

Post by mariellejaworski »

hello everyone,

I really want to make a carnor jax costume ;) he is one of my favorite characters and I thought it would be very cool if it will be 501st approved :D.

in this topic I am going to post pictures and updates of my costume.
and I start off with this one:

I found a guy who did sell a carnor jax helmet, now my question is: is this a good one? or need it to be changed at things? if so, what do I have to change about it before I am going to paint it ;)?

here is the helmet that I want to buy:

for now I am also worried about the undersuit...
I now it has to be lycra/spandex, but I didn't know if this will be alright (and change it to a carnor jax undersuit ofcourse ;)):

please, all information is welcome :D.

@LT

yes I saw that ;) but I didn't if this kinda undersuit (the link in the first post) could work.
because I thought, maybe I can buy a red and a black version of that kinda suits and than change it to a carnor jax undersuit ;)

but I did not know if that would be accepted by the 501st ;)

and would the helmet be ok to use for my carnor jax 501st costume?

To make a standard Guard Helmet into a Jax you need to give it a strip down the middle Crown. Also the visor is cut a bit larger and the center point is made into a triangle. Use the one that you have as reference. Also I would say keep the "smaller" one as display.

thanks for the information :)

I will for sure someday have a carnor jax, but I have to say that it will not be my 1st 501st costume anymore,
because of the I need for costume.
not that there are to much things to make/buy, but it's that I have to make them....
and I do not have a vacuumform machine yet......
so this project does have to wait a little longer.......

sorry

greetings
Marielle
