Making my Royal Guard

Post by Sandico »

Hi!

I am planning to start my costume. I need help if the following cloth are ok.

I am not sure which of the first three velvet to use. The last one is the Gabardine I plan to use.

Not the third please.
Looks like crushed velvet.

Here is an update of my costume. Take note that I used cloth gloves for now while awaiting for my leather gloves. Any comments if I should change anything?

Inner robe looks fine. Outer robe is a great choice with colour and type. The Panne Velvet in the first photo was definitely out so good that you received advice from Sascha. He helped me along too. Keep posting pix and listening to Sascha and you'll be fine. The robe length is ok giving you room to bring it to one inch off the ground. You can use shoulder pads to bring helmet to sit squarely on shoulders. I noticed your helmet is thinner than mine so you may not need as much padding. Overall it's looking good so far

A little shoulder padding will be fine.
After it you just have to make sure that the outer is hemed to be all around at the same height.
So it looks good.
