Air System

After seeing some of the posts from the past regarding air flow I decided it would be in my best interest to start work on mine as well. This is a similar design to one posted on here already. Mine will be able to secure/detach the hoses from the air unit itself for whatever reasons. I’ve still got to create a retention system for the hose attachment and also mounting the air unit to my person but that will have to wait til I can brainstorm a bit more on what I can do behind my back out of sight while staying light and practical. Barring any modifications to this system from this point forward. Also! A 16oz. plastic peanut butter lid is the exact size needed to create an intake cover for my fan so the robes don’t suck up to it. Hope you enjoy the photos.

How strong does it blow through those tubes?

Well it’s got 3 power setting and on the lowest it keeps a nice steady breeze a little more than the airflow in a motorcycle helmet when your vents are open. I’m sure when I cut the hoses down to the proper size it’ll be even better. On the highest setting It’s got a very good flow but it’s noticeably louder. Being corrugated hosing it has the harmonics from the air going through it versus a smooth hose. I may even join the two hoses into one output for more flow though just one hose end.

I like it. What hoses are those? I might try to do one of these myself.

They are 30mm hoses. No splitting in the sides. I got that size specifically so it would cover the opening to the fan as best as possible. Best of luck on yours, I pretty much used random stuff I found in the house aside from the fan and hoses.
