Re: Shadow guard WIP
The helmet is looking really nice. The chest and back will need the 3" black elastic strap (similar to what you can see on some stormtrooper builds) in order to pull the bottom portions together. Looking really nice so far though. The hardest thing is that pictures should be in a very well lit ...

Re: Saber Pike
Yup those fittings fit really snug inside of the pike and make a nice flush fit. The only problem is that they do wear out rather quick. Be prepared to need a rubber or wooden mallet to get them into place. I ended up sanding one side down a little bit and then use a plastic dowel rod to push throug...

Re: Intro and build thread
You could go for the full TFU royal guard build. No one has done the outer robes yet so you would be the first. The outer is an ATOC setup with the two slits for the arms that stop just above the armpit and below the midpoint of the front of the shoulder. One further mod is the back of the outer whi...

Re: TR-14056 Build & Resource Thread
I must admit that at first while reading through these posts I was a bit skeptical when i saw the shoulder pads. In my head I could see a guard with these HUGE shoulders and then I read the next few posts and BOOM! You can color me convinced now.
Great job on the build!

Re: Saber Pike
Great job on the fittings etc. The only problem I've had with quick disconnect styles has been that you really can't perform any spins or the like because they will come apart. I've been looking for a flush mount locking coupling and if I ever come across one that allows for some spins and flourishe...

Re: TFU Royal Guard from Oz
Walt's bracers and shins need upgrading in order to be more accurate when compared to the game model. I will post a build thread to help people with making their own set of shins and vambraces. I use Eva foam for the vambraces but you can easily cover the Eva with fiberglass and resin and once cured...

Re: Challenge Coin
There are detachment coins for trade if you're looking. While I don't trade/ collect coins there are a lot of folks here that do. Just remember we aren't allowed to sell or trade coins with non legion members.

Re: Bucket Cooling
Helmet cooling setups are a real issue with our helmets. Some of us have tried low profile fans with mixed results. I use 4 of those 12v blower fans spliced onto 2 9V batteries with a switch on each side. When walt was developing his TFU kits I had suggested a low profile duct we could glue into the...
