Thinking out of the box is a great thing for your wallet.

They represent the worm gear from the original so I would call that a good find.

These would be fine in my experience. I would after purchasing them get you some velvet to cover the black section. Good price for sure.

I would go with at least 75% infill on the armour parts for durability.

Lighting can be tricky. I alway take a photo of the information that way others can see in person and give feedback.

The twill I used was "Sew Classic Bottomweight Cotton Twill Solid Fabric". They come in black, red and blue. The fabric will match the flightsuit.

For it being the kit that it is not a bad build. You can add either velcro to the ab section to let the belt rest or a notch tab. This will help from a gap forming between an plate and belt.

Flightsuits are made of twill fabric. Yes mounting the kama to the belt will keep it looking right. I ran velcro on the top part of the kama.
