Re: Padding and visor from a motorcycle helmet
For mirror tint, there are two choices: 1) lots of places online that sell it. If there is a car shop that does window tinting you could probably find some as well. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/RED-SOLAR-REFLECTIVE-ONE-WAY-MIRROR-WINDOW-FILM-TINT-/110709563631 https://www.abodewindowfilms.co.uk/product/r...

Padding and visor from a motorcycle helmet
So I was in a motorcycle accident several years ago, and for whatever morbid reason I decided to keep the helmet that saved my life. I suddenly realized a few nights ago that there were some items I could totally salvage from the helmet! Namely, the padding and the visor. http://i.imgur.com/UiifMTC....

Re: New ROTS Guard from Mass WIP
I have this very same costume from CosplaySky. I was able to get it approved but your GML may be more of a stickler than mine. The biggest issues with it are: 1. Obi is different color than the inner robe 2. Lining of outer robe doesn't match (color or material) inner robe 3. Outer robe could be a d...

Re: My "prescription" visor
You could affix lenses to the RG lens, but the tricky part is you'd have to ensure the power is adjusted for where they'd be sitting so you can focus properly. Glasses lenses have a power based on being ~12 millimeters from your eyes. The RG visor is more than 12mm from your eye. Thus regular glass...

Re: My ROTS Royal Guard Progress
I have large feet as well, picked up the black jack boot option from Amazon. This was referenced by several other forum members in other threads. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AH0NOA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'd be curious to see how you plan to do your visor. The only...

Re: My "prescription" visor
I can get some prescription safety glasses through work, but I'm not sure if they're as compact as sports glasses. If they are that would definitely be a better end goal.

Re: My "prescription" visor
I eventually want to swap it out to a mirrored red visor. There are a LOT of mods I want to do, but I want to get some "boots on the ground" time so I can really determine what works and what doesn't (since I haven't trooped yet). I also want to determine when I want to spend more $$$ on t...

My "prescription" visor
This is a little out of the ordinary, but hey, it works. I had a couple extra lenses laying around from an old pair of glasses. Thank goodness I'm one step from being a hoarder, otherwise I may have thrown them out years ago. Since I'm getting my ROTS Royal Guard approved sometime in the next few we...
